BYE BYE PLAYFAIR??

According to sources from TSN and TSN.CA, the Calgary Flames could announce as early as thurdsay the hiring of Mike Keenan as the new head coach. Keenan is in Calgary right now, so it sounds like if it all goes well it will be made offical. It is said that even though Jim Playfair is out as coach he still could stay in the organization. Keenan last coached the Florida Panthers until the 2006-07 season. He has had great success as a coach though his career including a Stanley Cup with the New York Rangers in 1993-94 and he won the Jack Adam's trophy for coach of the year in 1985. I will keep you posted, hopefully it will be made offical because I think it is a great move for the Flames.
