- C Joe Thornton re-signed with the San Jose Sharks for 3 years worth 21.6 million dollars
- C Todd White signed with the Atlanta Thrashers for 4 years worth 9.5 million dollars
- D Barret Jackman re-signed with the St.Louis Blues to a 1 year contract worth 2.2 million dollars
- D Ryan Whitney re-signed with the Pittsburgh Penguins to a 6 year contract worth 24 million dollars
- LW Richard Zednik and C/LW Brett McLean sign with the Florida Panthers to a two year contract worth 3.25 million dollars and to a 3 year contract worth 5.1 million dollars respectively
- D Tom Poti signed with the Washington Capitals to a 4 year contract worth 14 million dollars
- D Mathieu Schneider signed with the Anaheim Ducks to a 2 year contract worth 11.25 million dollars
- C Daniel Briere signed with the Philadelphia Flyers to a 8 year contract worth 52 million dollars. Briere will get paid 10 million dollars this season.
