On Friday July 20th 2007, Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced the signings of forwards Eric Godard, Tomi Maki and Eric Nystrom along with goaltender Curtis McElhinney each to one year contracts. The four signings bring depth towards the organization and it is also nice to have someone (Eric Godard) to kick Derek Boogard's ass (as seen in photo, Derek Boogard was injured as a result of the fight). Unfortunately the financial terms of the were not disclosed due to the clubs policy. The remaining three signed players are players whom have previously played for the Calgary Flames farm team, both forwards Maki and Nystrom have played at least one game with the Flames but the London, ON native has yet to make his debut.

Four Flames Inked With a Year
