Flames Trim to 26

The Flames cut another 3 on Saturday, sending C Mikael Backlund back to Vasteras of the Swedish Elie League and re-assigning C John Armstrong and G Matt Keetley to Quad-City. No surprises here, Backlund had to do something special to stick with the club and not to say he played bad, he just needs another season of developing before he becomes a everyday Flames. This now leave the Flames roster at 26 with only the goaltending position being determined with Curtis McElhinney Backing up Kipper. The final roster spots will be upfront between Roy, Prust and Lundmark and on the back-end between Warrener, Pardy and Eriksson. All I hope for it that Eriksson has played his last game as a Flames but at the same time I would be shocked if he hasn't.
